The work begins in the room.

One of the first things I tell every new client is this: I can do a lot for your skin in this room. I can deep cleanse, exfoliate, treat, hydrate, and bring visible life back to your complexion in 60 to 90 minutes.

But the moment you walk out that door, the work shifts to you — and that part is far more powerful than most people realize.

Cynthia’s signature skin philosophy.

Here at CYNNSBEAUTY, I operate by what I call the 20/80 rule. It’s not complicated. It’s just the truth.

20%

What I do for your skin in the treatment room

80%

What your daily home routine does for your skin

That number might surprise you. Most people come in expecting a facial to solve their skin concerns — and while a professional treatment absolutely accelerates results, the real transformation happens in your bathroom, at your sink, twice a day, every single day.

What happens between your appointments

Think about it this way. You come in once a month — that’s roughly 12 hours of professional skin care per year. The rest of the time, your skin is completely in your hands. That’s thousands of hours of opportunity to either support the work we do together, or undo it.

I’ve seen it happen both ways. A client comes in after a month and their skin has completely transformed — brighter, clearer, smoother — because they were consistent with their routine at home. And I’ve had clients who were confused about why their results weren’t lasting, only to find out they stopped using their SPF, started skipping their nighttime cleanse, or were over-exfoliating and breaking down their skin barrier.

None of that is judgment. It’s just information. Skipping SPF, skipping your nighttime cleanse, or doing too much exfoliation can all interfere with results, and understanding that helps us make better choices together.

Why The CynnSkin Method exists.

The CynnSkin Method exists to bridge the gap between the treatment room and your everyday life. It turns what Cynthia sees in the studio into practical guidance you can actually use at home, so the work we do together has somewhere to go.

The basics that actually move the needle

You don’t need a 12-step routine. You need a consistent, intentional routine with the right products for your skin type. Here are the non-negotiables I talk about with every single one of my clients:

Your Daily Non-Negotiables

  • Cleanse morning and night. Cleansing at night removes the day — pollution, makeup, oil, bacteria. Cleansing in the morning removes what your skin did while you slept. Both matter. Skipping either one is like leaving the door open.
  • Sunscreen every single day. This is not negotiable. Not just on beach days. Not just in summer. UV exposure is the number one driver of premature aging and hyperpigmentation — and it’s happening through your car window, through your office window, every day. SPF 30 minimum, reapplied if you’re outside.
  • Exfoliate — but not too much. Exfoliation helps your skin shed dead cells and absorb products better. But over-exfoliating breaks down your skin barrier and creates sensitivity and breakouts. Once or twice a week, maximum, with a product that’s right for your skin type.
  • Moisturize every day. Even if you have oily skin. Hydration and oil are not the same thing. When your skin is dehydrated, it produces more oil to compensate. A lightweight moisturizer keeps that balance in check.
  • Protect beyond SPF. A wide-brim hat when you’re outside. Seeking shade during peak hours. These aren’t extra — they’re part of a complete sun protection strategy, and your skin notices the difference.

After your facial — the critical window

The 24 to 48 hours after a professional facial are one of the most important windows for your skin. Your skin has just been thoroughly cleansed, exfoliated, and treated — the channels are open and absorbing everything. This is when your home routine has the highest impact, and when certain things can also cause the most disruption.

In the first 24 hours after a facial, avoid heavy makeup, avoid touching your face, skip any harsh actives like retinol or strong acids, and keep your skincare simple — cleanser, gentle moisturizer, SPF if you’re going outside. Let the treatment do its work without interference.

After that window, stay consistent. The clients who see the most dramatic long-term changes are the ones who treat their home routine like it matters — because it does.

This is what The CynnSkin Method is about

This method exists because I want my clients — and anyone who finds this page — to understand that beautiful skin is a partnership. You come to me, and I give you everything I have in that treatment room. But the other side of that partnership is yours.
